Penha building
1 Heerenstraat Punda
See route
The Penha Building, which was built in 1708, is the most photographed building in Willemstad because of its distinctive 18th century gables, its arches and its exceptionally colorful decoration.
This architectural style can be identified with the Dutch Baroque architecture.
The building served as a former trading house on Willemstad's trade wharf. It was also used as a warehouse and residence in the past. Currently it is great for shopping because it is a store which specializes in perfume, cosmetics, skin care, and eyewear.
