Located in the tropics, just 12° north of the Equator, Curaçao has a warm, sunny climate year-round. The average temperature is about 27°C (81°F) with noon temperatures generally over 30°C (86°F). Trade winds blow constantly from the east, providing a welcome cooling effect.

WHEN IS HURRICANE SEASON IN CURAÇAO?

WHAT CLOTHING SHOULD I PACK?

Since the temperature in Curaçao rarely drops below 80°F, most of your clothing can consist of light summer clothes. Bringing along a few items, like a long-sleeve shirt and pants, can be useful to prevent mosquito bites; also, some of the fancier restaurants, as well as most late-night clubs, have a dress code which doesn't allow flip flops, shorts, or sportswear.

WHEN IS THE RAINY SEASON?

Curaçao doesn't have a heavy rainy season, but precipitation does change throughout the year. February through June is the driest period; often we'll see no rain at all. Some rain may fall during January, as well as July, August and September. The months of October, November and December are the wettest months.
